Women Empowerment Can Shrink The Gap of Gender Diversity

The society we live in is male dominated in the majority of the aspects. The gendered attitude with our unconscious bias sustains the homogeneity and shuts the door towards diversity. There is a necessity for strong leadership which will challenge the status quo and drive in the much required change. Gender diversity is prominent in business fields making it more mandatory to retain women in higher positions. Change is the keyword and right thing to do at present moment. Businesses need to change their corporate cultures to accommodate more talented women in their domains.
There are compelling reasons to achieve gender equality with women leaders rated higher in male leadership qualities and an overall leadership effectiveness negating stereotype about female leadership qualities. In a recent study by leadership development consultancy it is found that women scored better than their male counterparts in leadership qualities like taking initiatives and motivating for results. They were fared outstanding even in leadership competencies. In addition women leaders scored higher in overall leadership effectiveness then their male equivalents when rated by their colleagues, bosses and other companions.
Such surveys tend to confirm the belief and prove as direct evidence that women must be provided with opportunities of leadership but these surveys also confirms that the leadership of male preponderance exists. Women in workplace require working twice as hard in order to reach the position they deserve and the leadership role they aim at. This lack of security poses as a barrier for women who aspire to work as a leader in future. This gender diversity is crucial in fetching more women into leadership positions. Gender gap remains an enigma for women in workplaces. Combined with gender inequality it creates complex hurdles for women to overcome.
Change will emerge if companies make way for gender equality a mandatory component of their business plans. They need to address the gender biased attitudes that are persistent in male dominated industries. Other factors integral for change are accountability and assessment of the results. It is not just a HR issue to provide women with equal opportunities but it is fundamental to the overall industry. The reputation building of an organization to work as a good place for diversified groups must be inclusive of creating equal place for women. The recruitment becomes easier task with recruitment of talent from present day's diverse hiring pool.
Women's markets are considered as key to most industries as women are the significant decision makers, consumers and potential customers. The retail decisions are influenced to a great extent by women. Today the women owned businesses are expanding at tremendous rate in the world economy. Creating an inclusive culture with strong leadership will drive in the change and align the gender inequality. Gender diversity can pave the way for gender equality and benefit all. Businesses can achieve superior business outcomes added to consumer satisfaction, retention ability and productivity. Companies can strive for staffing together the core employees with inclination of creating prospects for women.

Eye Makeup Tips

Creating a smokey eye makeup effect is extremely simple. You can use any makeup brands and brushes that you already have at home so you wont have to run out and buy anything special to accomplish this look. Following are some great eye make up tips to help you create your perfect smokey eye.
First, you want to start with an eye primer which acts as a base for your smokey eye. You can use an application brush, pad or your fingers to apply evenly. Remember that these are general eye makeup tips and you should always do what works for you.
Next, use a smudgy dark eyeliner to completely line the water edge of your lower lid and also your upper eyelids paying close attention to the areas in between your top lashes. Use a clean smudge brush to softly blend the liner on your lower lid then using the same brush smudge the upper liner blending to the outer corner of your eye.
To bring some warmth to the look, use a warm pink or brown shadow to apply to the eye crease from the outer to inner corners. As a makeup tip, use a thin brush to apply this shadow to keep it in the crease area where you want it. Use a medium brown to shade the area just under your eyebrow. If you feel that pink eye shadow didn't suit you then you can always try out pitch or light greenish color. Always try to apply that color which suits you the best.
Choosing a silver shadow and using a flat brush, apply the shade in a dabbing motion from the inner part of your upper eyelids to just past the center of your pupil. Next, use a medium gray shadow and lightly dab the center part of your upper eyelid. Last, use a black shadow to lightly apply to the outer corner of your eye and blend in toward the gray center. Use a soft clean brush to lightly blend the outer edges of the shadow over your whole eyelid to create the whole smokey eye make up look.
To finish this look off, reapply eyeliner to the upper eyelid followed by a black or dark mascara. Remember that when using these makeup tips you can work with your own colors and use what is most comfortable for you to create your smokey eye makeup.

Feminism and Beauty

A frequent claim by women of the politically correct persuasion is that beautiful women are stupid or bad people. This attitude has been responsible for vast abuses against attractive women; and it is an attitude that is rotten to the core.
Yes, Sarah Palin was a beauty pageant contestant; but so was Erin Brockovich. There is nothing stupid, shallow or malevolent about Erin Brockovich. Among major figures in feminism itself, Gloria Steinem and Naomi Wolf certainly qualify as attractive women. And in countries in which feminism is most advanced - such as Sweden - there are more than enough attractive women to go around. Which means that the attack that many in feminism mount on beauty does not even benefit feminism itself.
In fact, I do not see there being any reason for there to be a correlation, positive or negative, between beauty and intellect or beauty and character. We will see all sorts of combinations. In the worst forms of feminism, the women who are not only unattractive but also exceedingly mean-spirited make it their lives' goal to destroy women who are both physically attractive and warm, loving people. And this is a vast injustice.
The feminist war on beauty must end. Not only does it result in extreme abuses against the better specimen of womanhood, but it does not even benefit women's empowerment or women's standing in society. Sweden has accomplished far more for women than has America, and in Sweden the women are not being pressured into being ugly or mean. The positive forms of feminism would support good qualities in women while empowering them against those who would mistreat them. And that would do far more for women's well-being than anything that we have seen from the beauty-haters.
A person who's actually interested in women's empowerment and women's well-being will value, support and encourage the good qualities that women have more naturally than do men. Qualities such as beauty, kindness, tenderness, and ability to produce and nurture life, should be affirmed as these are the qualities in which women are naturally better endowed than are men. Instead of doing away with the good in women and pushing them to be an inferior imitation of the worst men out there, a better feminism would affirm what is uniquely feminine and positive qualities that come to women more naturally than they do to men. And by encouraging and supporting these positive qualities the better feminism would give people - both men and women - a very present reason to have respect for women and to treat them better: By maximizing the good in women and showing to the world how good the women can actually be.
An ideology that attacks what's uniquely feminine has no business claiming itself to be feminism. Instead of empowering women, such an ideology makes women look terrible and denies them the respect and appreciation that women need in order to advance. There are any number of successful, intelligent women who take objection to political correctness, and for a good reason. It is an ideology that places women in a race in which they can only be second while denying them the right to qualities in which they are first.
The beauty-hating direction of feminism is no kind of progress; it is an aberration. It is something that happens when a bunch of malicious, mean-spirited women get together and then start claiming that they speak for all women without other women having given them the right to do such a thing. We are seeing the product of an academic groupthink, and there is nothing progressive about it. It is an error, from start to finish, and women do not begin to benefit from such beliefs.
For feminism to regain a major place in society these errors must go. Beautiful women and men who love them are not the enemy of women's well-being; the people who see women as an inferior gender are. Romanticism, in encouraging men to see beauty in women and treat them in noble manner, did far more to confront the actual misogyny in the culture than did political correctness. And the more informed forms of feminism in places such as Sweden, Netherlands and France have done so as well.
No, it does not benefit the status or power of women to attack women who are physically attractive. No, it does not benefit the status or power of women to attack people who love beauty in all its forms. No, it does not benefit the status or power of women to teach women to be malicious. These things only make women look bad and give reason for men who are actually misogynistic to gain power in society.
The anti-beauty trends in feminism have been destructive, malicious and self-defeating. First they gave green light for the worst women out there to attack other women; then they gave reason for actual misogynists to gain power in society and use that power to beat down on women. That does not mean that feminism is wrong altogether; it means that one of the trends in feminism has been destructive. And for feminism to regain the power that it merits, it needs to move away from this poisonous misdirection and become a movement that actually benefits women in the world.

Coaching for Women in Midlife

You did it. Somehow you managed to lose your keys again - they were in the bathroom - and you suddenly have a feverish desire to plan a road trip across America. With work, family and trying to find a balance, you've never given yourself time take a long trip...or many other things. Suddenly you feel time closing in on you. You think you may be having a midlife crisis.
Maybe you're experiencing empty nest syndrome. Maybe you're starting to feel like you're in the wrong profession or that your love life is changing before your eyes. Or maybe you're not sure, but what's most troubling about all this is that you're suddenly aware that you're at the crux of your life and there is so much you have yet to do.
You begin to analyze what's going on in your life. You might have a great list of accomplishments, a high paying job, a family, but something's missing. You feel that you're in a rhythm now, but that you still have much to explore. A lot to explore. You're confused. Are you the same person you used to be? What are your values, and does your current life live up to them? Are you going to continue on as you have before, or are you going to do something different?
If you're panicking, it's time to calm down. What you think is a middle age crisis is something everyone goes through, it's a middle age shift. And if you stop and listen you may realize you really like it.
The truth is that your life is far from over. In fact, midlife is the perfect time to look deep inside and identify what really matters. You can look back on what you've done and what's worked, and you can evaluate where you want to go. Having lived through life so far, you are at an advantage. You're smarter, more experienced, and have made enough mistakes to know what not to do (that's more than you can say for your twenties). Now all you need is guidance and a plan to help you sculpt the path for what's next.
Life coaching for people in midlife is a great way to help you get to the bottom of your middle age shift and how you can take advantage of it. Midlife coaching let's you realize you are in control, helping you transform your desires into achievable goals. There's no time or reason for shoulda, coulda, woulda's, so why not sign up for a complimentary coaching session? Then you can say goodbye to that midlife crisis. Sounds great right?

Best Sports For Breast Toning

Due to aging, natural sagging of the breasts will occur to all women. The breasts itself is made up of milk producing cells and fats and there are no muscles in it. As a result, there are no exercises that are able to give the breast a good muscle toning. Exercises will only strengthen the pectoral muscles that are directly under the breasts, which will in turn support it and give a fuller and firmer appearance of the breasts. It is of utmost importance to start the breasts firming exercises slowly for not more than 30 minutes each day. Thus, performing exercises to firm breasts work on the chest muscles and it directly upholds the breast tissue. There are 2 options available for women out there; perform chest expansion exercises or yoga to help firm their breast. Chest expansion exercises allows a healthier and fuller bust whereas yoga have a wide selection of exercises to work specifically on the pectoral muscles.
Yoga
Utthita Trikonasana
Standing firmly on the ground with feet placed shoulder width apart, spread the body weight equally on both of the feet. Lower your right palm and stretch towards the right leg, keeping the hand straight at all times and with your left hand pointing towards the sky. Hold this position for 30 seconds and change direction. Repeat this exercise 10 times.
Bhujangasana
Lie flat on your back and place both feet firming on the ground. Slowly bring both of your arms up so that the elbows will touch the knee. Slowly arch your back up from the ground and maintain in the position for 15 seconds and return back to the starting position. Repeat this exercise for 15 times.
Chest Press
Lay down flat on an exercise bench with a dumbbell in both hands. Lift the dumbbell up until both dumbbells meet each other in the middle of the chest and slowly fall back to the starting position. The chest muscles will tighten with each repetition.
If you do not have access to an exercise bench, lay down flat on a floor with your knees bent and feet flat on the ground. Hold the dumbbells with the palms facing the ground; stretch it away from the body. Bending the elbows and bring both dumbbells up until both of your thumbs are facing each other. Then slowly fall back to the starting position. For each of the exercises, do 3 repetitions and hold them for 5 seconds.
Push Ups
Lay on the floor with the chest in a downwards direction. Place both hands on the ground firmly and keep the knees bent. Lower the body until the head is lower than your elbows. Hold in the position for 3 seconds and return to the starting position. Repeat this for 5 repetitions for a total of 3 sets.
Wall Ups
Similar to the push up exercises, the wall up can be performed anywhere conveniently. Place both palms against the wall and stand shoulder width apart. Bend your elbows slightly and slowly to distribute your weight evenly between both arms. You will be able to feel your chest muscles tightening. Straighten your arms and back to the starting position and repeat this exercise 20 times.
Butterfly Press
In this exercise, 2 dumbbells and a simple plastic chair is required. Sitting at the edge of the chair, hold one dumbbell in each hand. With your hands placed at the side, raise them up to your shoulder level and slowly bring them down again. Repeat this exercise 10 times daily.
By performing breasts firming exercises, it is still not possible to restore your breasts to its former glory. However, it can give a fuller and firmer appearance by firming the muscles beneath it.
